I have Louisa Bailey nee Taylor B. Alverstoke Hampshire in 1844. I have her on all the Census except the 1891.
Louisa was widowed under tragic circumstances in 1886 leaving her with 9 children. I have found some of the youngest ones at Boarding? schools.
Louisa died in 1906 in Southampton.
Her husband James Bailey,a chief steward, was found drowned after falling off the yacht Cornellia which was lying in West Tarbert Lock. Suicide was suspected at the time. I have this information from 19th Century Newspapers. His body was found by a shepherd and his dog on the island of Gigha according to the paper.
Any suggesting as to where Louisa would have been in 1891?
Lesley.
