Hello,

I wonder if anyone can see this family in 1911?

Henry Brotherhood
(born c1856 Oversleal, Leicestershire)

Wife: Agnes
(born c1856 Newhall, Derbyshire)

Children - some of whom may not be at home (all born Church Gresley, Derbyshire)

David, 1878
Harry 1880
Thomas 1883
Cora 1886 (Definately gone by 1911)
Bernard Michael or Michael Bernard 1888
Norma 1890
Kerza May 1891
Stanley 1893
Leonard 1895
James 1897

I can find Norma on the 1911 transcript on findmypast, but as I don't have a sub can't get any more details, and cannot find them on ancestry.

They should be in Church Gresley, or at least I would have thought they were. Henry died in about 1915 and Agnes in the 1920s.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks Merry, is that from findmypast or were you able to find them on ancestry?

FMP - I didn't look on Ancestry.

So annoying that I can't find them, but never mind.

I don't suppose I could trouble you Merry to tell me how many children had been alive and how many were still alive?

Thanks! :)

Would you mind seeing where Norma is? She is my link to the family and married later that year.

Isn't Burton on Trent in Staffs? That county isn't on Ancestry 1911 yet.

It's a tricky one.

I think Burton on Trent is in Staffordshire, but Church Gresley (and Swadlincote) comes under Derbyshire County, but Burton Registration District.

Married 38 years (I think) and 15 children all surviving. That should keep you busy finding them all!! lol

Thanks Merry, I've found that group of census pages on ancestry but there are over 800 pages so not very hopeful that I can find the missing ones.

15?!?! I have 13 in my list, having originally had 10, but realised the youngest two were on the next page on the 1901 census and then one arrived after 1901.

Still two more to find then..

Found the missing two, they were the oldest two!

Got myself muddled with so many children all surviving.
