Bethnal Green churches

I have an ancestor recorded as being baptised at St Matthew Bethnal Green and at St Philip Bethnal Green on the same day - would this simply be because St Philip's was under the umbrella of St Matthew's? In which case, the actual church she was baptised in was St Philip's?
