There don't seem to be any baptisms for an Ann(e) Fowler in Berwickshire between 1775 and 1795. :(

If Anne and her husband followed traditional Scottish naming patterns for their children (and if I haven't missed any children early on!) then her parents should be called George and Elizabeth. The names of the eldest son and second daughter do match John's parents, so I'll give this a try.

Hmmm, there is an Anne Fowler born 7 Sep 1782 at Dirleton, East Lothian, with parents George Fowler and Elisabeth Brown. Now how can I find out if this is my Anne...

I've found baptisms of a couple of other children of the same couple, also at Dirleton - George 3 May 1791 and Janet 10 May 1786, but I haven't managed to prove whether this is the right family for my Anne yet.
