Details of will / administration of their estate – She was pre-deceased by two of her sons. Her will leaves £50 and interest in some property to her remaining son Charles Cleveland Carter Tivers, also her 8 day clock in a mahogany case and all her books and papers. To her grandson (son of deceased son) Charles George Tivers she bequeathed £50 & some Bank of England shares/stocks(?) to be used to apprentice him or to place him in any situation the exectutors think most eligible for him. Her workbox & mourning ring is bequeathed to her daughter-in-law Margaret Colburn, mother of Charles George, along with £100 of Bank of England stock. All her wearing apparel and bed & table linen was to be divided equally between her two daughters-in-law Margaret Colburn & Hannah Tivers (share and share alike).
The executors were her son Charles Cleveland Carter Tivers and Josiah Carter Jnr, Ironmonger, ‘of the parish of St Thomas in this city’. Josiah was obviously a relative, but I haven’t found the connection yet.
