About half way down the page attached it says:

"Item I give and beqeath to my Daughter Mary Rundle Twenty pounds and I do hereby ordain that the above sum ? be paid att the end of Six months..."

Can anyone make out the missing word?

Also, near the bottom it says ..." Testament and ? hereby revoking all former wills and Testaments... "

it looks like "Idde?". Is it meant to be "idem" and would this make sense?

It's "order", not "ordain" and I think it says "that the above summs may be paid" but not sure about that. It might be easier to make out if you could post up just that bit, but bigger?

I think the other bit says "I do" but it has been spelt doe - look at the bit just after that "six months" four lines up and there is another "I doe hereby...".

Thanks, Kate, it could well be "may". The spelling in this will is lovely - "hole and soul Executor"!

I'm just off to Pilates so I'll get back to this on my return. The next page is the Inventory, which is challenging in some parts!
