Do you want to post up the details from the certificate? Or if not, you can PM them to me and I'll make some suggestions for what to do next.

If you buy their marriage cert;

Marriages Jun 1924
Burt Ernest Gore W. Ham 4a 715
Fisher Betsy Staines W. Ham 4a 715 <<<<<<<<<<<
Gore Sarah E Burt W.Ham 4a 715
Staines George J Fisher W.Ham 4a 715 <<<<<<<<<

it should give you their ages and the names and occupations of their fathers, which should help you to find them on the 1911 census.

Well, only if you reember to tell yourself not to take anything as gospel until you have the cert!!

There's this birth and death which cross ref nicely, given parents have 42 days to register a birth:

death reg:
Name: Betsy Staines
Birth Date: 1 Mar 1905
Date of Registration: Sep 1989
Age at Death: 84
Registration district: Newham
Inferred County: London
Volume: 15
Page: 1233

and birth:
Name: Betsy Fisher
Date of Registration: Apr-May-Jun 1905
Registration district: Romford
Inferred County: Essex
Volume: 4a
Page: 565

Then you could look for this Betsy in 1911 and see who she is with. As I said, without the cert you should be cautious, but also in this case she might well be Elizabeth on some records and Betsy on others, so these records might not be right!

If you look at the 1911 obviously you need to tie up someone with a place of birth which falls within Romford district.

I didn't see anything so clearcut for George, but it would definitely be worth a bit more investigating (I only spent a couple of minutes!)

Do you have Ancestry or Find My Past sub?

Merry

Ancestry doesn't have all the counties indexed yet and I don't think she is on their indexed records.

In case you have Ancestry but havn't fathomed the non-indexed census stuff yet, this link will take you to the best fit candidate:
