Is there a way to narrow down the district no. of a census by street name?

Looking at 1871 & 1881, I'm not sure if they are "streets" but would like to see who lived at both Duke and Kent, Liverpool at that time without having to go through thousands of images.

If you are using Ancestry then the 1881 is easy as there's a box to entre the street address!

How odd, the link works for me! You could try googling the page title which is:

Liverpool Registration District, 1871 Census Street Index

For the 1881 search; Underneath the names boxes are the ones about residence....County or Island, Civil parish and then Street Address. Perhaps you don't have the advanced search options bit clicked at the bottom?

On the ancestry 1881 census I think you will need to be on the "old search", then make sure you go onto the England 1881 census, not UK, and choose to show advanced search options. Then the street name box should be just under residence county and civil parish.

Between the modem crashing and having to wait tooooooooooo long to get the site info, I will try this again in the week and let you know, think it is bed time now (for a change). Kate/Merry after the last post did try the " old site" that is what keeps hanging.......
