I am trying to find the birth of Sarah Aldridge in Bucks. She married William Climpson 2/1/1812 in Chesham and gave birth to at least 8 children - the 1st 6 baptised Amersham 1814 to 1823 and then 2 at Chesham Bois. There are a number of births of Sarah Aldridge in 1790s in Bucks. A cousin said she has the death cert and that she died 29/10/1863 at Chesham Bois. I found on Fam Search in the 1861 Census, Sarah Climpson born Chesham age 67 so born around 1794. This would make her 17 at marriage. Would someone mind having a look at the original image please and see who else is with her, so that I know I have the right person. I have not found them in 1841 or 1851 Census. Thank you.

The Sarah in 1861 is at Bank Yard, Chesham, a widow, with daughter Ann S age 27, also born Chesham.

And in 1841 at Bois Common, Chesham Bois:
William Climpson 50 Ag Lab Y
Sarah do 50 Y
Mary do 26 Plaiter Y
Sophia do 15 do Y
Ann do 10 Y
Frederick do 10 Y

And in 1851 she is in Amersham, Bucks, a lodger, widow age 61, plaiter, born Bucks Chesham with daughter Ann 20 plaiter born Chesham Bois. Head of household is Joseph Wright 68 born Bucks Wendover with wife Fanny 72 born Bucks Aston Clinton.

This sounds familiar!

but I don't think there's anything more on that thread than on this one. :)

I'm thinking now that the age on the 1851 Census is more likely to be correct because that is consistent with the daughter's age. In the 1861 Census Sarah ages 6 years in 10 and Ann 7 in 1. So think Sarah is born closer to 1790 than 1794?

I have baptisms of 8 children, the youngest being John in 1827. I have not been able to find Ann and Frederick aged 10 in 1841 Census. In 1851 Ann is aged 20. Can anyone find their baptisms please?

Where did you find the 8 baptisms that you mention, Julie?

Family Search Kate.

I can't see Ann and Frederick on FamilySearch either.

I doubt it makes one iota of a difference, but Frederick is 10 months on the 1841 census not ten years (Ann is 10 years). It's possibly likely he isn't Sarah's child.
