John Thomas Garner and Bessie (that spelling, b 1878 Hull) are together in 1911. He is aged 41 and they are in Hull District. Don't seem to be any more Garners living with them.

John Thomas Garner doesn't seem to have been born in Hull or Sheffield or even in Yorkshire at all :( (in 1911)

I have tried the various counties for John Thomas Garner in 1911 matching the birth registrations for around 1871 but nothing gives a match, so maybe his place of birth is just misspelled/mistranscribed in 1911?

Still can't see him or Betsie/Bessie in 1901.

Isn't it more likely that Ellen died/married before 1891?

Thanks for taking the time to look Merry and thank you for finding Betsy. I never thought of looking under Bessie even though she had a niece (my Grandma) called that  I know somebody who will do me a 1911 look up so I'll go and ask nicely :D

I didn't think of looking under Bessie either! I just searched on surname and date/place of birth :)
