In OH's tree we have Frances Edith Newton, born in 1875 in Addiscombe Kent. It looks as though she married in 1902:

Name: NEWTON, Frances Edith
Registration District: Bromley
County: Kent
Year of Registration: 1902
Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun
Volume No: 2A
Page No: 879
MarriageFinder: Frances Edith Newton married one of the following people
BEETON, Ernest Henry
GRAY, Selby Arthur
WESTERN, Isabel Caroline

I have discovered that Selby Arthur Gray married Isabel Caroline Western, so it would appear that she married Ernest Beeton. I can't find either of them in 1911.

I did a Google search and found the following:

http://www.tolliss.com/gedview/individual.php?pid=I25904&ged=Tolliss.ged

It appears he went to Queensland, but there is no mentioned of Frances.

Can anyone find any more information about this couple.
Of course, I'm making an assumption this is OH's Frances Edith Newton, but the family lived in the Bromley area and the dates fit.

To start with, his death is on the Queensland death index 1924 Ernest Henry Beeton, parents Robert James Samuel Beeton and Matilda Grimes, which matches the website you found. That website says he was born in 1870 not 1879. Queensland indexes don't have a death for a Frances Beeton (nor a marriage for Ernest).

Kite and Merry, many thanks. I wonder if the marriage didn't work (no basis for saying that really, just a feeling).

I'll have another look for Frances in 1911. I haven't found either of them.

Edit: I should have read (or absorbed) Merry's post!
The couple in Suffolk certainly warrant investigation.

I expect he is this one:

Births Mar 1874 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beeton Ernest Henry Bury St Edmunds 4a 524

he is with his mother in 1901 at Kirkley Suffolk. I can't find him in 1911 either.

So the Australian one is probably a red herring.

Aha, now it's coming back to me (a long time since I looked at this line).

William Edward Newton, the brother of Frances Edith, married Fanny Byles Beeton, the sister of Ernest. She's shown on the 1901 census above.
