I can't enter a rellie on the Togg4 this week (the first Togg I've missed, ever) because I don't know who she is.

She's the mother of Caroline Clarke (b1805 Hutton, Middx) http://www.genealogistsforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=7368&highlight=caroline+clarke

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get further with this (bearing in mind that I'm in France and a physical trip to a records office is out)??

Was she definitely born in Middlesex, Sarah? It says on the thread that you linked to that she was born in Essex, in which case I was going to ask if you've tried the new Essex Ancestors site that has the PR images?

They're not name-indexed and you have to pay £5 for a day's access, so if you're going to take that one, make sure you have lots of time to spare that day! There are other subs although I think the price for those is quite steep. They have digital images of the PR's for Brentwood and Hutton.

unknown unknown becomes Mary unknown who married Edward Clark at an unknown (as yet) location and baptised 4 daughters in Hutton, Essex

I haven't found their marriage yet, but I did find Edward's signature as a witness to another couple's wedding in Hutton in 1798.

I'm off - not much time - I just got the 24hour sub for a fiver.
It's already been worth it though :d
