would I be able to get a will on A2A for a death in 1907?

I think some county record offices have them listed post 1858 and others don't, Rosie; best thing would just be to search on A2A and see if it's listed or not. Also some counties have separate will indexes that aren't on A2A, such as Lancashire.

thanks Kate, I did do a search on a2a and nothing came up.

I have never had a hit on anything I have ever searched for on there lol.

Who are you looking for, and in what county?

Frederick Henry Foster dod 12/06/1907 in Twyford, Lincs

EDIT to say I didn't put the Henry in the search.

Hmm, GENUKI says "The Lincolnshire Archives publish a CD-ROM, "Indexes of Wills 1700 - 1900". No help in this case, though!

I could look him up on the National Probate Calendar if you like? I'm planning to go and look a few things up in the next week anyway.

thank you Kate, that would be wonderful. If there is a will, and he had his own business, I'll be able to get it from York won't I?

:D

Thanks Kate. I'll get on to York. John William was Fred's son.

Wonder who the Bonners were, will have a look on the census for them.

Thanks again :D:D

a ha! Lois was Fred's daughter (duh!). I hadn't managed to find a marriage for her yet, but now I have. Now I will be able to see if I can bring that family forward with any children!

Things have moved on a little step already! :-D
