Just putting this out here in advance...so you can't say you weren't warned...lol

My brother in law is coming for the weekend and wants help with his tree. He tells me he has oodles of info (we'll see on Friday night) but it will all be from Holland.
He doesn't speak much Dutch so he's bringing a Dutch/English dictionary....lol. Not sure how much help that will be.

Any ideas for good sites with Dutch records or info?

This is a good one but I think it only covers part of the Netherlands.

Edit - seems to have a lot more on it than the last time I used it, actually.

Also FamilySearch has Dutch civil registration records 1792 - 1952 to browse, not yet indexed.
FamilySearch Dutch Civil Reg (https://www.familysearch.org/search/image/index#uri=https%3A//api.familysearch.org/records/collection/1831469/waypoints)

Just noticed Ancestry has some as well.

Should be a fun weekend. I wonder if FH research is any different when you don't read the language? lol

The main databases on ancestry seem to be copies of those Genlias ones but I guess it will use ancestry's search facility so probably worth trying both ways. With indexes on websites I don't think it's too bad if you don't know the language (well, with European languages anyway) because there is Google translate, it's when you start looking at the actual documents that it gets tricky.

Talking to a lady today and she mentioned using Google translate with different languages. I'd never heard of it before.
