I'm posting this up so that Google can pick it up.
My grandfather was a founder member of a Motor Club that was set up in 1933.
From his diary:
"In eve over to H? to attend a committee meeting of Motor Club. .. the name "Nomad" Motorists was an easy winner, my suggestion of Wafarers MC being second".
He describes some of their activities, driving at night and doing all sorts of trails and tests.
He lived in Guildford and I think "Nomad Motorists" covered a fairly large area around.
The only references I've found so far are via Google Books.
