Most of this info came from a family researcher, but now I cannot find anything in Sctotlandspeople or the IGI to confirm. Did the family researcher get it wrong ? Am I looking in the wrong places ?

Have you got her death certificate, Marquette? Could that be where the info about her parents' names came from? I can't even find her death registration on Scotland's People. The nearest I can find is a Janet Kerr death in 1857 (could be registered in 1857 if she died 31st Dec 1856?) other surname Stevenson age 82, county Lanark, but the district isn't Leadhills. And the age on that isn't very close to what your Janet's should be. Also MMN apparently isn't Mulligan.

Hi Kate

No I don't have any certificates, I think all the info came from a family researcher - I think I might have to buy some credits for SP and start over.

Just going to look for the paperwork I was sent some years ago and check I have not copied it wrongly
