This entry is coming up when I search Ancestry, asking from children of Robert 1777 +/- 10 years baptised Dorset.

Would sks put me out of my misery & tell me where & when this event took place, please?

I can't find any entries in Dorset for a Samuel Goner. There are a few for Samuel Gomer in Dorset but none with father Robert.

Does Ancestry tell you which collection the entry is in?

Ah, found it - it's Sam's first name that is mis-spelled!

That would be one heck of a lot of cantering around and I would have had to have got the first baptism date wrong. Viable births at 5 months sound most unlikely!
