Tribal Pages have decided to restrict new free trees to 500 names.

Those (like me!) who have a free tree with more than 500 nams can either pay a sub or lose some of the free facilities.

That's strange - I haven't had an email from them about it but my tree is much bigger than that. Did you get an email from them, OC?

I haven't had an email either but I haven't put much of my tree on there yet.

I'm sorry about my misleading post!

I have to say, the message I got from them was not as clear as the link Mary gives and it is not clear (to me!) that it only applies to new trees.

The message appeared when I logged onto my tree.

That's good, but are we still allowed to delete our old tree and replace it with a GEDCOM upload, or would that count as a new tree?

Keep one person from the old tree and add the new GEDCOM to that person. Should get around it being a new tree.

I do have a tree on TP but quite honestly never look at it or add to it.

Could we please keep to the original topic which is that Tribal Pages will be charging for all new trees of over 500 people that are uploaded to their site.

I've deleted all off-topic posts from this thread.
