Whilst tracing family history on my Great Grandfather, came across his brother's death record but, along side is a note on the death register - Selkirk 1957 - can anyone assist in where I can trace this reference/document - he was found dead;(, cause of death burns. The below is from my assumption, probably the "autopsy" record:

You should be able to click on a "View RCE" button on Scotland's People to see the entry but it will cost you 2 credits.

If the death wasn't expected and a autopsy was required then the additional information is added as an RCE.

Thanks Kite, spent the 2 credits, It appears that it was probably to rule out foul play or negligence as cause of death is now stated as burning (accidental) and where he was found was added to state "in his dwellinghouse"
