I can find the Richard Millard, Wedmore, with Ann (the ones you found above) and I can also find Richard James Millard, Wells, with Ann.
So I need to work out which is the correct one.
I have Ann, born in Cheddar, Somerset and that one seems to be with Richard James.

H'mm, I see what you mean. Actually, there's a third Richard and Ann Millard in Wedmore of about the right age in 1851, only this one's a farmer.

The couple I listed above don't have any children in 1851 but the others do - are there any clues there?

Uphite is probably Uphill which is near Weston if that's any help.

Not another lot Lindsay, this is getting more confusing by the minute. lol
Anne, I have on my tree, Richard was born in Wedmore and Ann in Cheddar, so not sure how close these are to Uphill.
