You would be best to get Cyril and Elizabeth's marriage certificate, Babs, to be sure you follow the right families.

Babs, the probem is there are two births:

Births Mar 1906
Leach Elizabeth Middlesbro' 9d 551

Births Jun 1906
Leach Eliza Middlesbro' 9d 573

There is Eliza on the 1911 aged 5, the dau of Thomas James Leach a 70 year old poacher (unemployed!!), formerly a miner and his wife of 15 years, Charlotte 36. Charlotte says she has had five children, three living, who are presumably George 13, Lawrence 10 and Eliza. There's also a son called Alfred 19 from a previous marriage (?).

But obviously I don't know if this is Eliza or Elizabeth and what happened to the other one, or even which birth reg is 'yours'!

You need the marriage cert. Fingers crossed the unemployed poacher is yours, as he must have had a sense of humour!!

Wow thanks Lasses , the trouble here is its my Ex hubby's family and I resent buying certs for there tree , it was just with the togg , and I was trying to have a go ,,there is 2 members of the family doing the tree must go and have look to see what Tracy has got but carnt imagine her doing the Dobson side as this is her Dads 1st marriage ,,

This is what happens when there is multiple marriages and illegitimate children ;;
Im not ashamed of my life but had son 1st and I wouldn't marry his father , for cheating on me , got married and he used to knock me about and the my Tez , so have 3 kids to 3 different men ,,ohh thats sounds terrible doesn't it lol ;; ahh such is life ;;

But thanks for all you have found there for me took me back another generation on Bels side anyway ,,,thats the only reason I do there trees for the grandies to have ;;
