Think he served in the navy

Not sure which part of the navy but can anyone find a record ( or anything) for a FREDERICK CHARLES HENRY BENNETT. WW2

WW2 Navy records aren't online yet, Jess, as far as I know you have to apply to the MOD for them and you have to be next of kin. I can't see anything in the London Gazette archive but unfortunately if he is mentioned in there it is probably not going to give his full name so it would be hard to find the right one.

Thanks Kite, I said I'd ask. My friend has just lost his father, they have no idea what he did before they were born except ''he was in the navy in his younger days''

Merchant or Royal? they have no idea.

You could ask if they know the name of a ship he was on, Jess. They might think they don't know anything but maybe they will remember hearing something like that?

Is there any chance there will be a birth or marriage cert from the right era with his occupation on?
