I just came across this while browsing, nothing to do with my family. Hope the link to ancestry works! Just thought it was interesting. If only everyone who gave the wrong name on a marriage cert did the same!

lol that was funny - I looked all over the two entries and couldn't see anything!! Eventually scrolled right almost by accident. Wow!!!

"Goldson" was his mother's maiden name, so I suppose she took it quite personally!

It's a bit hard on anyone searching for the OTHER marriage which is hidden under that note though!

I don't have ancestry access, but usually if there is a long screed explaining why an entry is incorrect, you usually get the page filmed twice, so you can read the other entries.

Yes, that's right - you just go to the next page to see the bit under the note.
