December 12. It says Richard Simpson of Bradford and I can't read what comes next or rather it looks like Sirjcant and that doesn't make sense.

I think there is someone on 23 October 3rd from the bottom of the page who may have the same word but I can't read it either.

While I can't view the image, what you've typed looks like Sergeant. ie a rank in the army?

Possible Phoenix, it seems a higer class than the shoemakers and weavers in the rest of the family. lol
