There's a Dorothy Martin aged 18, born N. Ormesby, with Walter and Dorothy Martin in 1901:

http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec?htx=view&r=5538&dbid=7814&iid=YRKRG13_4584_4587-1116&fn=Dorothy&ln=Martin&st=d&ssrc=&pid=29200657

Ancestry's transcribed them as her grandparents, but they're too young; the image probably says s-daur, so she's presumably the stepdaughter. The surname's clearly written as Martin, though.

No, sorry, scratch that - I've found that Dorothy with Walter and Dorothy Marten in 1891.

I see Jemina Sarah died in 1890, and Stephen in 1897, so she won't be with her parents in 1901.

What happened to Dorothy's sisters Kate and Amelia? I can't see them in 1891, or a death for them.

Found Kate in 1901; she was born before the marriage, so she's listed as Brady. She's in service in Ormesby. No sign of Amelia or Dorothy, though. John Henry's an ag lab in Hemlington.

There isn't an easy way of searching by address on Ancestry, but you can do it on FMP. What's the date of the newspaper cutting?

You can do an address search on findmypast, Babs. These are the addresses it comes up with for Roman Road, Middlesbrough on the 1901 census:
1,2,3,4, Ashgate House, Broomlands Lodge, Broomlands Children's Hospital, Linthorpe Board School House, Lynshurst, Ravenscroft, Orchard House.
Nothing for Barnabas.
You can do an institution search on the 1901 census site but it doesn't find anything for Holgate in Middlesbrough.
