My 3g grandma Eliza Taylor was born to John and Maria Taylor in 1818. John is a brick layer.
John and Maria have 9 children between 1813 and 1834 where he states he is a bricklayer. All are baptised at St Peter Leeds (Leeds Parish Church).
On the 1841 census I find John and Maria with children Sarah 12, Hannah 10 and Tom 6. (HO107; Piece 1346; Folio: 39; Page: 32)
My problem is that Sarah is not one of the 9 children I mention above.
Searching the records shows there is a Sarah, daughter of John and Maria baptised 29/6/1829, born 3 Feb 1829. John's occupation being Inn Keeper.
Sarah Taylor (http://search.ancestry.co.uk/iexec?htx=View&r=5538&dbid=2252&iid=32355_249394-01128&fn=Sarah&ln=Taylor&st=d&ssrc=&pid=5379670)
On the same page is Maria, sister of Sarah, born 24 Dec 1828. There is something wrong with those DOBs.
Now my question is would a brick layer of approx 16 years become an inn keeper and then return to brick laying the next year?
There are no other John/Maria/inn keeper baptisms.
