I am wondering if anyone can help me with my Roskilly family. I'm not sure if I'm overlooking the obvious!!
One of the problems is that the name is spelt many ways.
I'm not sure if I have two families or one - the only marriage that I can find of William Roskilly to Catherine - is to Catharine Pryor 27 Oct 1743 at Wendron.
Children's baptisms at Wendron - Michael Roskilly 1743, Catharine Rosekilly 1746, William Reskily 1748, Catherine Rosekelly 1751 (Helston - Residence Wendron), Jane Roskilly 1753, Jane Reskilly 1758, Richard Reskilly 1763, Simon Roskilly 1765 (Helston - Residence Wendron), Margaret Roskilly 1768.
If there is only one family - the problem is there are baptisms of Catherine in 1746 and 1751 and Jane 1753 and 1758 and I cannot find deaths of the first Catherine or Jane!! Help.

Is it possible that there are burials for them but they haven't been transcribed? Or have you been looking in the actual PR's?

I've been looking on the Cornwall OPC Kate.

Or they could have been buried in another parish.

Thanks Kate - I don't think I put parish in, but I'll check. I think I just put in Jane R ... and 1753 to 1760. I can always contact the OPC, but I was wondering if I was overlooking the obvious.

I hae never used or even seen the Cornwall OPC site before, but I just googled..........Erm, do they have Wedron burials before 1800? As far as I could see they only have 1800-1900, but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place?

Julie...you can contact the local OPC for the area and they will look for you. The Cornwall people are brilliant.

If you go to coverage - then - coverage by parish - they start at 1500's. I had the same problem last year - I don't understand what that first page means either. Most confusing:)
