Edward Warren married in 1857

His father is given as William Warren, a Weaver. However I cannot find the birth of an Edward Warren to a William Warren in the right time frame, abt 1825-7 in Bethnal Green according to 1861 Census and his death certificate.

I think I have Edward in 1851 but he is on his own in lodgings in Shoreditch.

In 1841 an Edward Warren b abt 1829 is living in Bethnal Green but his father would appear to be James, a weaver.

I have found the baptism for that Edward. That family was living in Holywell Lane where the grandparents of Edward's future wife lived. So my theory is that the wrong fathers name was entered ( I have other instances of that) but can't be sure.

One last thing to save Kite looking it up - The witnesses to the marriage were Thomas Pain and Elizabeth Haywood. Elizabeth was probably a step sister to Matilda but Thomas I'm not sure about. Interestingly a Thomas Paine marries a Sarah Warren in 1865 but as they are both minors I doubt that there is a link:(

Just remembered - there is a baptism for an Edward to a William Warren in St Botolph's but his burial is recorded shortly after.
