Isaac is here in 1861, says he's married but in lodgings. There is a Joseph Looker on the next page but it seems to be the wrong age to be his son.

I'm pretty sure I saw them but didn't keep a note and then Jane became a little difficult !

Looking at my Tribal Pages tree, I have 4 Josephs ~ 1770 and 1810, born in Wilts. and the other two have the second name of Thomas ~ 1837 and 1866.

I have it that the 1837 Joseph Thomas Looker was born either in Berks/Wilts or Westminster ! A Bance descendant has him born in either Hungerford (Berks) or Westminster ...... 6/11/37 and I see that I didn't find a Joseph on FreeBMD but a Thomas reg birth 3Q 1837 Marlborough, Wilts. :confused:

Re the 1861 census. My notes say that Joseph is 33 (1828) and a Stableman same as Isaac, in lodgings at Queens Rd East, Chelsea.
Possibly that should be 23 (1837). They're a confusing bunch but that may have been deliberate to distance themselves from the Isaac Looker from Wilts. who was on trial in 1830 with son Edward (the Wiltshire riots).
