KILLED BY FALLING DOWN STAIRS
A Pitman named Thomas Walton, died on Wednesday afternoon at Eldon Lane near Bishop Auckland, from injuries sustained on Saturday night. Deceased was ascending a stepladder to get into his upper room to bed, when he took a giddy fit and fell back down the stairs, causing injuries to his spine, which resulted in his death as stated. Deceased leaves a wife and family.

FamilySearch has a Thomas Walton baptised at Alston, Cumberland 3 Jul 1815, parents Thomas and Mary. And another one born 24 Sep 1815 and baptised 30 Dec 1819 at Redwing Congregational Chapel, Alston, parents Thomas and Hallah or Hannah. And another one baptised 25 Sep 1814 Alston, parents Thomas and Elisabeth.
