1819 Robert was a witness at a settlement dispute between Aston Rowant and Stoke Poges. He explained that he moved to Stoke Poges after the ceiling of his father-in-law's house fell in. He earned 12s. a week from selling orchard fruit and kept 2 or 3 pigs and paid the rates. He was allowed to stay in Stoke Poges.

1843 Robert's wife died.

Robert, 71, is a widowed almsman at The Hospital, Stoke Poges, a privately endowed almshouse.
1861
Robert is aged 81, still at the almshouse.

Robert is 91, still at Stoke Hospital.
Death:
31 Oct 1872, Stoke Hospital, Stoke Poges, aged 93.
Cause of death: old age.
